Namibia’s men’s national cricket team, known as the Eagles, represents the Republic of Namibia in international cricket. The team is managed by Cricket Namibia, which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1992. Led by captain Gerhard Erasmus and coached by Pierre de Bruyn, the team plays in the ICC’s East Africa region. Namibia played its first One-Day International (ODI) match against Zimbabwe in 2003 and its first T20 International (T20I) against Ghana in 2019. The team holds associate ICC status and has steadily grown in international cricket competitions.
