Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans entered the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022 as one of two new franchises. The team was acquired by CVC Capital Partners with a winning bid of ₹5625 crore (approximately USD 750 million). Ahead of the 2022 IPL auction, the Titans strategically secured three key players: Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill. Hardik Pandya was named the inaugural captain, guiding the team to their maiden IPL title in their debut season. Ashish Nehra took charge as head coach, with Gary Kirsten appointed as the team’s mentor and batting coach, and Vikram Solanki serving as the director of cricket operations.
