The United Arab Emirates men’s national cricket team represents the UAE in international cricket and is governed by the Emirates Cricket Board. The board became an Affiliate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1989 and an Associate Member in 1990. The team is currently led by Captain Muhammad Waseem, with Robin Singh as the coach. Their first One Day International (ODI) match was against India on April 13, 1994, at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, while they played their first T20 International against the Netherlands on March 17, 2014, at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. They are part of the ICC’s Asia region.
