The Papua New Guinea men’s national cricket team, known as the Barramundis, represents Papua New Guinea in international cricket. Managed by Cricket PNG, the team has been part of the International Cricket Council as an associate member since 1973. Led by captain Assad Vala and coached by Joe Dawes, the Barramundis made their One Day International (ODI) debut against Hong Kong on November 8, 2014, in Townsville. Their first Twenty20 International (T20I) was against Ireland on July 15, 2015, in Belfast. The team continues to grow under Cricket PNG’s guidance.
