The Afghanistan men’s national cricket team represents the country in international cricket and holds full membership in the International Cricket Council (ICC). This means they compete in Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and T20 Internationals. The team is captained by Rashid Khan and Hashmatullah Shahidi, with Jonathan Trott as head coach. Their governing body is the Afghanistan Cricket Board. Afghanistan played its first ODI against Scotland on April 19, 2009, and its first T20 International against Ireland on February 1, 2010, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
